The client is a boutique software and web development shop in Rockland County NY. They are looking for highly motivated individuals with pleasant personalities and good organizational skills to work as an Android developer. At least one app on the Android Marketplace is a must.
US Citizen or Green Card only.
NO RELOCATION, MUST BE WITHIN ABOUT 50 MILES FROM THE MARIO CUOMO BRIDGE.
(Southeastern CT, Westchester, NYC with access to a car, Rockland, Orange Counties, maybe Putnam, NJ as far south as I 78, possibly Northeastern PA) This is a hard requirement.
They are 100% virtual but must be able to visit Rockland County, New York periodically.
Must be able to understand all aspects of a typical business. They have all varieties of clients and need strong business skills.

Duties:
Responsibilities include the following:
- Development of native Android based apps in both Kotlin and Java.
- Deal with clients data, feeds and designs.
- Co-operation with other development team members (e.g. Project manager, Web programmers, graphic designers, and authors, quality assurance) in the production of a finished product.
- Ability to work on project without detailed instructions; taking the initiative with this job is important.
- On-going maintenance of existing projects.
Qualifications:
- Excellent knowledge of the Android SDK
- Knowledge of XML and JSON a requirement
- Knowledge of SqlLite and a working experience in SQL databases
- Knowledge of HTML and Javascript a plus
- Coding standards, organizational programming skills and good commenting practices is important
